This is no different then making changes from a stand point of grid shift, backlash, custom macros ect. You are looking at making changes to your communications settings. Your option parameters are 9900 thru 9972(depending on your options). Your options are not what you are looking for. Perhaps in the future someone will crack this one as well.īeege is 100% correct. Unfortunatly top secret doesent remain secret for very long. You had to go thru a top secret procedure but the were changable. They are stored in FROM so even if you lose your parameters, you will not lose your option parameters. If you notice on the post 2006 controls, you can not examine the 9900 series in the parameter screen, they are in a diagnostic screen. They will provid the step by step instructions. You do not need an engineer on site but you will have to pay for the option, Fanuc will ask for some files loadable from the memory card, you can email to Fanuc, they will make changes and email back and you reinstall. As far as turning option parameters (9900 series) on or off, as of July 2006 Fanuc has pretty much locked us out of that. You can transfer programs with the flash card by selcting channel 4 on your settings screen. Ethernet and data servers are additional options also requiring hardware. A second port would be an option requiring hardware (do you have a second port on your control?) and is channel 1 on your settings screen. Employment Opportunity / RFQ (Request for Quote). One 232 port is standard and is channel 0 on the settings screen.

I have attached all the parameters in case you want to see them. An error came up saying it had to be shut off and nothing changed. I have already tried to change parameter 9921 to match our other Jig Grinder (01001000 -> 01000001) and it wouldn’t change. *NOTE: We have an identical Jig Grinder that had a memory upgrade at the same time and has parameter 9921 set to 01000001. When we restored using the old backup we must have lost a parameter or memory setting from the memory upgrade? Can anyone help with this issue?įrom what I have found, parameter 9921 sets the amount of memory available? Does anyone know more about the procedure to change this? It is currently set at 01001000

The problem is that the memory upgrade happened AFTER the backup was created. It use to have 256k and was upgraded to 0.5M. It’s been a long time, but we think this machine had a memory upgrade years ago (around year 2000). When we get a big program we may not be able to load it at all. We can’t hold many part programs like we use to be able too.

We got the machine running fine but the memory is VERY low. The problem is that the backup we used to restore was from 1998 (14+ years old). We had an “Outer Rom Parity Error (Graphic)” and had the issue fixed by reloading the software from a previous backup. I have a Moore Jig Grinder with a 16i-M Fanuc control.
